The big prize for the children of modern day Halloween is wearing realistic horror masks and trick or treating, which is when children wear disguises many times realistic horror masks and go door to door in their hoods, ringing each door bell and yelling at the top of their lungs, trick or treat mofo now gimme some dang candy. Even though this practicee resembles the oldest tradition of souling in Scotland and Ireland, ritual begging on Halloween does not appear in North America until the 20th century, and even so may have developed of its own independance. The house upon having trick or treaters come to its door, the occupants of the house often wear their own realistic horror masks in attempt to scary up the night as you may say, the occupants also often hand out candy, money, soda, stickers and other little goodies.
Many of these trick or treaters will be going up to houses where the occupants have elaborately decorated the house for hallows eve. Fog machines sound effects etc, will cause for a sure stir when the trick or treaters are voyaging up to the house. Even some times they will jump out with realistic horror masks on scaring the hell out of the trick or treaters. The children will often accumulate many treats over the course of halloween night, filling up entire pumpkin shaped bucket, bags, and pillow cases.Another great way some teens may amuse themselves is by finding a house with candy they like and going back to it over and over with different types masks on. Large parties are commonly held on Halloween in which games like bobbing for apples and wearing realistic horror masks is usually what goes on.
